Current Work
The practice now
I don’t think of these works as one series. They were made alongside one another, sometimes beginning with observation, sometimes with an image or form I wanted to stay with. What connects them for me is less a subject than a way of working: building, removing, revisiting, and staying with the work long enough for the process to alter what I first thought I was making.

Trees return repeatedly in my work, but not as a fixed motif. They become a way of testing line, density, material, structure, and how much information an image needs to hold.
Sculptural and devotional forms enter my work through the same act of looking. I don’t separate ancient objects from contemporary life. They sit alongside people, animals, and everyday observations as things already present in the world.
